PikkPoll — Terms of Service

Welcome to PikkPoll. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PikkPoll, available at pikkpoll.com.

PikkPoll is operated by Jani Kivinen, an individual based in Finland ("PikkPoll", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using PikkPoll, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use PikkPoll.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account, except where caused by circumstances for which PikkPoll is legally responsible.

You must not impersonate another person or access another user's account without authorization.

PikkPoll may require users to confirm that they meet the minimum age requirement during registration. This confirmation does not constitute independent age verification.

2. About PikkPoll

PikkPoll is a free social polling platform where users can create polls, vote, share opinions, comment, and interact with other users.

Poll results reflect the votes submitted through the platform. They are not necessarily representative of the general population, scientifically sampled, or independently verified.

User-generated content and opinions do not necessarily represent the views of PikkPoll.

3. User-Generated Content

You are responsible for the polls, comments, images, profile information, and other content you submit.

You must have the necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and legal authority to publish any content you upload or share.

In particular, you must not upload images, photographs, artwork, text, or other materials that infringe another person's copyright, privacy, publicity rights, or other legal rights.

You retain ownership of the content you create, subject to any rights held by third parties.

By submitting content, you grant PikkPoll a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and technically process that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the service. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to PikkPoll.

The license ends when the relevant content is removed from the service, except where continued processing is legally permitted or required, including limited backup retention.

4. Community Rules

You must not use PikkPoll to:

• Publish unlawful content or infringe another person's rights.
• Make credible threats, encourage violence, or engage in targeted harassment.
• Publish hateful content that violates applicable law or our community rules.
• Upload sexual exploitation material or other prohibited sexual content.
• Share another person's private information without a lawful basis.
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or other harmful technical content.
• Manipulate votes, create deceptive account networks, or interfere with the platform's operation.
• Access or attempt to access systems or data without authorization.

Disagreement, criticism, satire, and controversial opinions are not automatically prohibited. However, freedom to express an opinion does not exempt users from applicable law or these rules.

5. Content Moderation

PikkPoll may review reports and take proportionate action against content or accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, actions may include removing an image without deleting the underlying poll, removing content, restricting interactions, or suspending access.

We may also act when reasonably necessary to protect users, third-party rights, or the security of the service.

Where applicable law requires it, we will provide explanations of moderation decisions and access to appropriate complaint or appeal mechanisms.

6. Polls, Votes, and Results

Polls and comments may be visible to other users, depending on the relevant visibility settings.

Polls shared through a link may be accessible to anyone who possesses that link. Do not treat link-only polls as confidential.

You must not use automated tools, duplicate accounts, or other deceptive methods to artificially influence voting results.

PikkPoll does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or representativeness of user-created polls.

7. Intellectual Property and Reports

The PikkPoll name, branding, software, and original platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

If you believe content on PikkPoll infringes your rights, you may contact us at contact@pikkpoll.com.

Please identify the content, explain the rights you believe have been infringed, and provide sufficient information for us to review the report.

We may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content when appropriate, subject to applicable law.

8. Account Restrictions and Termination

We may restrict or suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law and relevant procedural protections.

You can delete your account directly through Settings → Delete Account.

For security, account deletion requires confirmation using your current password and the specified deletion confirmation text.

Deleting your account removes your account and associated content from the active service, subject to the limited exceptions explained in our Privacy Policy.

This includes polls you created. When your polls are deleted, votes, comments, and likes submitted by other users to those polls are also removed.

Account deletion is irreversible through the self-service process.

Self-service deletion is not currently available for official or administrative accounts. Requests concerning those accounts can be directed to privacy@pikkpoll.com and will be assessed under applicable law.

9. Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but PikkPoll may experience interruptions, maintenance, technical problems, or changes in functionality.

We may update the service and these Terms. When changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice where required.

Continued use after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance where legally permitted. Where renewed consent or acceptance is required, we will request it.

10. Liability

PikkPoll is provided subject to applicable consumer protection and other mandatory laws.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or removes rights granted to users by mandatory law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Finnish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to them.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable jurisdiction and consumer protection rules.
